The ATLS® course was developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) more than 25 years ago and has now been adopted in over 40 countries worldwide. It teaches a simple systematic approach to the management of trauma patients, treating the most life-threatening injury within “the first critical hour”...

Format

• Highly interactive course combining lectures, discussions, interactive tutorials, skills teaching and simulated patient management scenarios (moulage).
• There is continual assessment throughout the course.
• Candidates must complete a pre-course MCQ

Duration, location and language
This English spoken ATLS course contains 2 days: May 18 and 19, 2010 and will be held  at the Louvain/Leuven University Hospital, a 30 minutes drive from the congress venue.

The regular ATLS course fee is € 1375,- The regular ESTES congress fee is € 460,-
The reduced early fee (until Feb 1st ) combined with ESTES congress € 1.595,-
The reduced course fee (after Feb 1st) combined with ESTES congress is € 1.615,-
The registration fee must be paid by bank account before March 1st 2010 to receive your course material in time.

• ATLS® manual 8th edition; (pre-course reading is essential to be able to participate fully in the course!)
• Coffee/tea, lunches and dinner on the first evening
• An international acknowledged certificate with a duration of 4 years
• Hotel facilities are not included in the course-fee.
